Hopefully with a strong win over Cincinnati VT will climb back into the top 25. It may take a Pittsburgh win over Louisville or Rutgers though.
Personally, the Hokies were 26th in my poll, so any loss at the bottom, or a strong win over the Bearcats, vaults them right back in. Can’t say the same for everyone else’s ballots, though.
Was also surprised at how high Rutgers climbed on some ballots. No real notable wins to speak of (I guess we can say USF was quality?) and even the lesser teams, they didn’t win by all that much against them. I’ll admit some bias against the Scarlet Knights though, so take all of that with a grain of salt.
