Scouting the ACC’s 2013 Quarterbacks (ESPN’s ACC Blog)
The ACC’s crop of 2013 quarterbacks will be an interesting blend of old and new. Veterans Logan Thomas and Tajh Boyd both decided to return for their senior seasons instead of leaving early for the NFL draft, but several big names — like EJ Manuel and Mike Glennon — will be missing. Here’s a quick rundown of the position heading into the 2013 season…
State of the U Chats with Hurricanes Legend Howard Schnellenberger (State of the U)
He went 41-16 at a Miami program that was on its death bed. He is an all-time 6-0 in bowl games with three different teams. He, more than many others, should be in the college football Hall Of Fame, but may not ever be due to an arbitrary rule concerning lifetime winning percentage. He is the main inspiration behind our humble blog’s name, with his recruiting tactic of “building a fence around Miami”…
Checking in with VT QB Vad Lee (ESPN’s ACC Blog)
Georgia Tech is one of several programs in the ACC that will usher in a new starting quarterback in 2013. Vad Lee earned some meaningful snaps this past season as the backup to Tevin Washington, but Lee said this week that he is ready to be the team’s full-time starter. He’ll have some competition, though, from rookie Justin Thomas. I spoke with Lee on Wednesday to get his take on the position and the team heading into 2013…

Why do the Tigers come so close yet so far every season? Head coach Dabo Swinney has an NFL player factory going on in Clemson, which is great on one front, but not so great on the other…
Several Noles Looking to Rebound in ’13 (NoleNation)
Five assistant coaches and three juniors all left Florida State for greener pastures in the past six weeks, and a bevy of senior talent from the 2012 ACC champions departs as well. While the spring always brings hope for players to work their way up the depth chart, this year will offer a wealth of opportunities for some younger Seminoles to impress new coaches and win some vacant jobs…

There have been many sources that have reported that up to five recruits will be on campus tomorrow for an official visit. Using the internet, three are definites and the other two are just guesses. If you have any information, leave it in the comments. Here are the definite visitors…
Georgia Tech Makes Run at Ohio State LB Commit (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
Georgia Tech is taking a shot at Trey Johnson, the Under Armour All-America linebacker who is committed to Ohio State. It has to do with Ted Roof, the new defensive coordinator at Georgia. When Roof was at Auburn two years ago, he was the first to offer a football scholarship to Johnson. Roof and Johnson also have the connection in that each starred at linebacker for Central Gwinnett High School…
