Atlantic Coast Convos on Huffington Post Live (Video)

I was able to take advantage of a fun opportunity tonight, and figured I’d share here as well. Atlantic Coast Convos was included in Huffington Post Live’s first College Football Community Sound Off tonight, and surprisingly, I did not have to defend the conference all that much. Taking a look at college football as a whole, the other guests and myself briefly chatted about the Heisman trophy, upcoming playoff system, and some short national championship predictions. I pushed Florida State as much as I could — despite the SEC representative’s insistence a one-loss team from his conference would be picked over the ‘Noles.

Shutdown Fullback: Florida State vs. Clemson Preview, and More (Video)

The college football world will actually turn its attention to the ACC this weekend, as Florida State and Clemson square off in a battle of unbeaten, top 10 teams in primetime on ESPN. College Gameday will be in attendance down in Tallahassee, of course, but we also wanted to provide this additional stamp of validation — the featured game on this week’s Shutdown Fullback preview. For the sad few who are unacquainted, SB Nation’s Spencer Hall (Every Day Should Be Saturday) and Jason Kirk apply their unique brand of humor to the world of college football, in video form.

Check it out below to see Spencer and Jason run down the matchup, as well as some of the weekend’s other highlights.

Video: ESPN and Doug Marrone Talk Syracuse Fall Camp, 2012 Schedule

Syracuse Head Coach Doug Marrone Chats With ESPN on Scheduling, Fort Drum and QB Ryan Nassib

We’ll update this once the video is able to be embedded (for ESPN segments, you usually have to wait a day or so), but wanted to share the link in the meantime. Yesterday on ESPN, Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone took a few minutes to talk about the team’s time up at Fort Drum for training camp, the difficult 2012 schedule, the team’s depth and how Ryan Nassib is preparing for his final year as the Orange quarterback.

You can check out the video over on ESPN for now. And do note that nearly every positive highlight about SU was from one of their two WVU thrashings of the Doug Marrone era. Boy would like to play the Mountaineers again this year…

Obviously, as the highest ranked ACC squad, Florida State‘s going to get the most widespread coverage now that it’s season preview time. Today, we’ve got SB Nation’s take on the Seminoles’ season, courtesy of Bill Connelly.

Some of the big keys for the team this year include living up to expectations and consistency on the offensive line. Check out the video below though, for the whole story.

Video: ESPN Inside the Program: Florida State Seminoles

Whenever possible, we’ve been putting up videos previewing the season in ACC football, etc., in order to give everyone a more visual look at what to watch out for this year. Today, we’ve got an ESPN “Inside the Program” segment focusing in on Florida State.

Take a look below as FSU defensive ends Bjoern Werner and Brandon Jenkins explain to the network’s David Pollack how to rush the passer and some of their favorite aspects of playing the position. While there’s plenty of criticism on Pollack overall, I do believe that he and Jesse Palmer have some good chemistry while covering college football, and sine Pollack’s a young guy, he’s great to plug in for spots like this.

Video: SB Nation Previews Virginia Tech’s 2012 Season

SB Nation’s 2012 college football season previews continue with this video on Virginia Tech‘s outlook for the year. Evaluating the Hokies, Bill Connelly wonders aloud if the team can complete its ninth straight season of 10 or more wins, how the running game will fare and if Logan Thomas has officially arrived as a superstar in the ACC.

Check out the clip below, and offer up your own thoughts, too, if you so desire.
